The PRINT-AID TRAINING SCHOOL 2
'Management of biomaterial-associated infections through development of personalized anti-infective medical devices'
will be organised in Amsterdam, The Netherlands April 8th-12th 2019.
‘The training school programme consists of 5 full days composed of lectures and practical courses culminating in Master class with invited speakers. 'We are very pleased to have Prof. Paul Cos (University of Antwerp, Belgium), Niels Klop and Ruud Schreurs (3D Lab, Amsterdam UMC), Prof. Tom Coenye (Ghent University, Belgium), Dr. Theofilos Papadopoulos (Western Macedonia University of applied sciences, Greece), Dr. Simone Schulte (Evonik, Germany) and Prof. Matthew Fields (Center for Biofilm Engineering, Montana State University, USA) as key note speakers during the training school', says Dr. Martijn Riool, the Summer School organizer and PRINT-AID member. 'These include an introduction day with networking activity, a 3-day practical course with supporting lectures, followed by a Master class in Amsterdam.' The experimental program at the Amsterdam UMC at the University of Amsterdam aims at antimicrobial activity testing (MIC/MBC, JIS, agar diffusion, biofilms etc.), antimicrobial resistance, and immune responses (histology, microscopy etc.)
Additionally, separate networking event for PRINT-AID Fellows are included.
